Project: Jibu & Elsa – 8B Noel Greenature
When you step into this residence, it is hard to believe you are on the 8th floor of an apartment tower. The moment you exit the lift, you are welcomed by a lush garden balcony—a green threshold that instantly breaks the typical apartment experience and gives the sense of entering a villa-style home in the sky. The entrance itself is striking: a **French window–cum–door, elevated two steps above the lobby level, lending an architectural character that is rarely seen in high-rise living. From this very first impression, the design sets the tone of exclusivity, warmth, and a feeling of retreat.
This apartment was envisioned as a second home for Jibu and Elsa, who wanted a space that would feel like a holiday escape while also functioning as a sophisticated city residence. The brief was clear: the interiors needed to reflect the luxury of a five-star hotel while retaining the warmth and functionality of a family home. With this in mind, the design process began with a complete **reconfiguration of the civil layout provided by the builder.
One of the main challenges was the spatial circulation. The typical apartment plan felt restrictive, so the flow was entirely re-imagined to achieve a sense of openness. The dining and family living areas were planned to maximize spaciousness and connection, creating a central core for both family interactions and entertaining guests. To accommodate this, the old kitchen was transformed into a stylish pantry with a breakfast table and wash area, while the original work area, servant’s room, and toilet were merged into a large, modern kitchen**—designed not only for functionality but also as an inviting hub for family gatherings.
The design carefully segregates formal and private areas. Since the clients enjoy hosting large groups of friends, a clear distinction was made between entertaining spaces and intimate family spaces. A **hidden sliding acoustic door** plays a crucial role here, allowing the formal living area to be closed off when required, without compromising on flow or aesthetics. This flexibility ensures that the home adapts seamlessly to both grand gatherings and quiet family moments.
The Interiors themselves were crafted to reflect luxury, comfort, and timeless elegance. The palette and materials were chosen to evoke the richness of a holiday retreat while staying warm and welcoming. Every bathroom was completely redesigned with **premium finishes, top-notch fittings, and an emphasis on comfort, elevating everyday living into a luxurious experience.
Another defining feature of the project is the integration of hidden storage solutions. With thoughtful detailing, storage is woven invisibly into the design, maintaining clean, uncluttered spaces while offering practical utility. This emphasis on functionality extends throughout the residence, ensuring that luxury does not compromise everyday ease.
Surrounding the home, every balcony and edge has been embraced with lush greenery, making the apartment feel like it is enveloped by a private garden. This connection to nature reinforces the villa-like character and creates a calming atmosphere rarely associated with high-rise apartments.
In the end, what was once a standard apartment layout has been transformed into a villa-style residence in the sky—a home that balances sophistication with comfort, formal elegance with private intimacy, and luxury with functionality. For Jibu and Elsa, 8B Noel Greenature is not just a second home, but a personal retreat that offers the feeling of a five-star holiday every single day.
